The 'Uprooted Ties' series focuses on parallels drawn between naturally occurring root/vine formations and the intricate intertwining of fibrous structures. These forms create labyrinths that feel inherently connected to humanity. While humanity seems to be currently in complete and utter disconnect, these structures remind us that we are all biologically connected. This work combines physical root impressions taken from Crepe Myrtle trees native to Georgia and inspiration from vine structures found on Banyan Trees native to Saigon.
